July Favourites

Let me start with an apology for my disappearing act over the past month - Bad Kristy!
Also, I’d like to apologize for how crappy the photo quality is in the pictures below.
My camera is still M.I.A so I’m substituting it with my iPhone.

For the month of July I have 2 products that stood out the most;
Revlon Colour Stay Whipped Foundation & Real Techniques Stippling Brush.

I’ll start with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush RRP $22.99

Being a YouTube fanatic I’ve been dying to get my hands on this little baby,
If you didn’t know the creator of Real Techniques, Samantha Chapman is a Beauty Guru on YouTube under the name PixiWoo (definitely check the tutorials out if you haven’t already)

I already own the Sigma brushes set and never really took to the duo fibre stippling brush as it sheds like crazy! I’d heard the hype around these brushes and decided to purchase one for myself to see how I liked it.

Priceline had 20% off at the time of purchase so I picked it up at a decent price.
I really enjoy using this brush paired with the foundation mentioned below.
No shedding so far which is a great sign & it also helps leave a flawless base – always a positive!

Now onto my favourite.....

Revlon Colour Stay Whipped Foundation RRP $34.95
I’ve been a massive fan of the original for a few years now, every time I try a new foundation I always without fail end up going back to it so I figured I would give their new “whipped” formula a go.

On first impressions I was impressed by the packaging, I thought it looked really classy and durable.
However it didn’t appear that there was much product in the jar so I wondered how long it would actually last.

Considering it doesn’t say on the packaging what skin type it is best suited for I was a little bit hesitant that it would a)make me look like a massive oil slick by the end of the day or b) dry my otherwise oily skin out and make it look patchy (not naming names - Maybelline Dream mousse)

200 - Sand Beige
This foundation is AMAZING
It glides on my skin like a dream and by the end of the day there is no oil in sight!
A little definitely goes a long way. I’ve received so many compliments on my skin when wearing this foundation which means I’m really considering it to be classes as my HG foundation!

I'm always up for trying new foundations so feel free to recommend me your favourites :)

  1. I also wasn't too sure of this foundation and like you I love the original! I love Revlon foundation so much so I thought I'd take the chance and I'm soooo glad I did! I love this product too. So impressed :)
